Qualifications: Completed or in the process of completing a course of study in Marketing, Sales, Communications, Media, Linguistics or a related field for which a mandatory internship is required to complete your course of study.

Internship Duration: 6 Months, 3+ months also considered. The possibility of a role following the internship.

Work rights: EU work rights for the internship (must have)

Working Days: Full time, 40 hours, Monday to Friday

Lingual Consultancy Deutschland, (LC) is looking for students in their final stages of study to join our multilingual Berlin branch. We are looking for motivated individuals that have passion, interest, and drive, that now want to apply what they have learnt, supported by the LC leadership team.

LC is a language services provider with offices also in Boston, Paris, Rangoon and Head Office near New Delhi who provides services across multiple industry verticals requiring customized solutions in translation, transcription services, Voice-over, subtitles, dubbing and other language related services. LC is a consistently growing Language Service Provider delivering services with its community of more than 16,000 linguists across the globe in 200+ languages.

Your Internship at LC will involve you applying your knowledge or interest of localisation and marketing strategy, sales, advertising, or content development. We work with our Internship team members where possible to customise their internship program to support their career goals and study program objectives. You will be working sometimes independently to support the business team with improved collateral, language and marketing outcomes supported and guided by LC’s leadership team.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Handle and coordinate projects from receipt to final delivery, supported by the Leadership team.
  • Communicate directly with the business team to support ongoing programs/campaigns.
  • Develop and enhance marketing collaterals for the Berlin and Global team.
  • Analyse LC’s CRM and other tools/platforms/activities for further development/optimisation.
  • Assist with the development of collaterals for the sales team in your mother tongue.
  • Design and delivery of our newsletter and monitor automated email marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with LC’s online media assets to support LC’s brand growth.
  • Make recommendations to improve LC’s marketing strategy.
  • Other responsibilities assigned by the Reporting Manager.
  • Occasional travel intra-Europe for business purposes (0-5%).

Skills Required:

  • Understands the importance of LC’s reputation and ensures retention of that image by continuously enhancing the organization’s performance in the DACH region.
  • Should have 0 to 5 years’ experience within a Translation, Content or Localization company.
  • Good business sense.
  • Strong Communication Skills in German, both written and verbal.
  • Good Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and persuasiveness.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter and positive attitude.
  • Confidence in presenting to large groups of people.
  • Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Smart and well presented, professional attitude.
  • Willing to travel frequently across Europe for business purpose as needed (0-15% approximate) to attend trade events, or business meetings in DACH.

Personal Attributes:

  • The ideal candidate will have some knowledge/exposure to/in marketing, online marketing, localisation, translation, communications, linguistics or languages or similar.
  • Has the ability and desire to build strong relationships within the company.
  • An interest or knowledge of localisation.
  • Understands the fundamentals of marketing or translation or linguistics and is curious about the connection between what we sell and what customers want to buy.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and manages time well.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in your mother tongue, e.g. German, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Russian, Arabic etc., or perhaps you have another language of interest (high functioning).
  • Knows how to work effectively in teams; takes responsibility, provides and can receive feedback.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter and positive attitude. Thrives on accepting responsibility, is flexible and enjoys new challenges. Takes ownership.
  • Is trustworthy, has discretion when handling confidential information. LC’s values align with their own.
  • Takes pride in their appearance, professional attitude.
  • Takes their work seriously, however doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
